OUR ACTIVITIES

Water Sports

Waterskiing / Wakeboarding / Tubing

Our Mastercraft and Axis specialty ski and wakeboard boats provide the right speed and ideal wake shape for the advanced skier or boarder, and the stability and easy power that beginners need to succeed.  Staff are not just certified, safe boat drivers – they bring years of teaching experience and a genuine passion for the sport to the lake every day of the summer.

At the end of the day, and on trip days, we offer tubing as a free time activity to allow any camper the thrilling feeling of blasting across the water.  A sure-fire laugh and a great way to cool down!

Sailing

Our Hobie Wave & Sunfish sailboats offer novice sailors an introduction to the sport or intermediate sailors the opportunity to improve their skills, and allow anyone with a love of the wind & water a chance to get out on the lake and relax.

Swimming

Depending upon the interest, campers may choose from swim workouts, early morning lake swims, or just a leisurely dip in the lake. Although swimming is not required at camp, we encourage everyone to improve their skills needed to be safe in the water.

Canoeing / Kayaking / SUPing

Paddle sports at MTC open both camp lakes to camper exploration, allow access to the best photo/fishing spots, and provide a great low impact workout.  Campers are taught correct paddling and boat handling techniques for all craft, with a particular emphasis on technical canoeing skills for those who are interested.

Fishing

With two lakes very well populated with bass, trout, & perch, fishing is a natural fit at MTC.  A catch & release program, no barb hooks, and diligent staff mean the fish we catch live to fight another day.

CPR/First Aid Training

Our CPR/First Aid training course (offered at a nominal fee) is taught by a certified American Red Cross instructor. There is no age limit, but campers must commit to a minimum of at least one period per activity day for a week of scheduling.
