The Camp Site

Situated between two lakes, Maine Teen Camp (MTC) is the epitome of scenic beauty. With 4500 feet of lake front, the camp is almost completely surrounded by water. Our property is secluded and private, yet accessible. Rustic cabins and camp buildings are carefully integrated into the landscape of green fields and tall pines. Our spacious modern “Maine Lodge” overlooks Stanley Lake. With two levels of open interior space and a massive stone fireplace, this beautiful building is the center of much camp activity and also houses the camp office and kitchen.

Infirmary

MTC has a fully stocked infirmary staffed 24 hours a day by medical staff. A local medical center is only 10 minutes away from our camp, and a major hospital is within a half-hour drive.

Accomodations

Males and females are separated by location at opposite ends of the camp. Accommodations vary from larger cabins that house 20–24 campers to smaller cabins that house 6–12 campers each. All cabins have electricity and indoor bathrooms. Many cabins have attached showers, others utilize a nearby shower house. Most recently, our female cabin line has begun to be completely replaced with beautiful new housing — still maintaining the charming style of the older cabins, yet fully modern inside.

Meals

Our camp chef and experienced kitchen staff work hard to provide quality meals that are satisfying and healthy. We always provide a main course (vegetarian alternatives provided), a full salad bar, delicious desserts, and fountain drinks in our cafeteria-style dining area. Breakfast is enjoyed inside our lodge and other meals at our outside picnic table area.

The Pine Tree Logo

MTC logoOur unique pine tree logo is based on an original ink drawing done by MTC Co-Director Kris Kamys’ father. You can see more artwork from Walter Kamys. The logo was updated in 2003 with a new typeface and layout to coincide with the beginning of an overhaul of facilities.
